Royal Gazette: Deloitte supports eight charities on Impact Day
One hundred Deloitte staff stepped away from their desks recently to participate in Impact Day, the firm’s signature volunteer initiative.
Various groups did helpful things for eight local charities.
One of the projects was assisting with refurbishment of community space at Transitional Community Services in Pembroke.
A group also worked with Keep Bermuda Beautiful for a central clean-up, beginning with a tour of the Tynes Bay Waste Treatment Facility in Devonshire followed by an art session at the K. Margaret Carter Centre, also in Devonshire.
Deloitte employees also helped the Bermuda National Trust to restore High Point Nature Reserve in Southampton, one of the island’s last-remaining untouched open spaces and the latest site acquired through Buy Back Bermuda.
